From April to September 2018 we will conduct monthly practice rides. These will increase in length and/or difficulty as we get closer to the event in October.
A key ride is the Kep Track from Northam to Perth, including coach transport to Northam, a lunch stop at the legendary Bakers Hill pie shop and escort crew to take care of us. This is now an annual event.
Due to strong interest during our recent event in continuing to ride regularly, we will now also hold a practice ride recce each second Saturday and last Sunday of the month until March. Anyone with a reasonable level of experience is welcome to join these, knowing that they are recces and as such may involve some stop/start riding and hills. Should you have a suggested ride to share, you are very welcome to offer to lead. As well as postings here and on the Life Cycle facebook group, we plan to establish an email distribution list to notify you each fortnight so that riders will know of others attending.
Unless stated otherwise, the default start point for these rides will be the tennis courts on Owen Rd Darlington and the time will be 6:30 for an 7am start now that the weather can be so hot.
|Saturday 11 November 2017||Roland will lead us on a ride in John Forrest National Park. This will include the Heritage Trail and some diversions. Start from Darlington Tennis Courts at 8am. (8 riders)|
|Sunday 26 November 2017||Meet in front of the shop at the Camel Farm off Mundaring Weir Road at 7am for riding around the Kalamunda Circuit trails. Also suitable for inexperienced riders – you can tackle the green trails.|
